Submission Guidelines for PacCALL Journal

  1. All submissions to PacCALL Journal should be between 3,000-5,000 words including references, tables, figures and notes (submissions outside these limits may be considered). Authors should indicate the length of the manuscript on the final page of the text.

  2. The Manuscripts should:
    • conform to APA standards; the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association 5th edition ( http://www.apastyle.org/) );
    • preferably be saved as a MS Word document (.doc extension) or alternatively as a rich text file (.rtf);
    • 11-point Arial font;
    • be double spaced and leave a 1.25" left and right margin and 1" top and bottom margin on A4 paper (portrait);
    • have a cover page (separate from the rest of the article) stating the name of (each of) the author(s), plus a full mailing address, telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address (of each author);
    • attach a biographic note of (each of) the author(s) (in sentence form, maximum 60 words per author) that appears on a separate page;
    • remove authors' names from all pages except the cover page and biographic notes page;
    • include an abstract (maximum 200 words);
    • use default setting “Normal” for the main text. The title should be assigned to “Heading 1”. Main headings in the manuscript should be assigned to “Heading 2” and minor headings to lower levels as appropriate. Sections of the manuscript should be headed, but not numbered. All headings should be placed on a separate line from the ensuing text;
    • avoid headers or footers. Do not use tabs to indent paragraphs.
    • avoid footnotes. Notes at the end of the text should be avoided, or kept to a minimum;

  3. Manuscripts previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere will not be considered.

  4. Submit manuscripts to the editors (journal[at]paccall.org) as an email attachment in Word or rich text format (.rtf). Do not compress (zip) your attachment. If your attachment is over 500kb then email the editor first to enquire about the best way of sending your manuscript.

  5. Acceptance for publication rests with the editor and reviewers.

  6. The editors of the proceedings reserve the right to make editorial changes in any manuscript accepted for publication to enhance clarity or style.

  7. The views expressed by contributors do not necessarily reflect those of the editors or reviewers of PacCALL.
